How do I start modeling my Digital Twin?

Order the modeling of your Digital Twin step by step.

This step-by-step guide will help you place your modeling order with Omi.

Summary


Step 1: Create a New Order

  1. Go to Digital Twins in the left menu, under the Manage tab.

  2. In the top right corner, click Add Digital Twin,

  3. Then select Create.


Step 2: Name your Digital Twin

  1. Name your Digital Twin:

    1. Add text to "Product name" (50 characters maximum)

    2. Add your product reference in "Sku" (not mandatory)

    3. Add a Tag (not mandatory)

  2. Click on Next


Step 3: Add your graphics

  1. Add your product graphics:

    1. Your product labels

    2. The logo on your product

    3. Patterns and decorations (e.g. on a pouch or bag)

  2. Click on Next at the bottom right of your screen

⚠️ You must provide 🧾️ .AI or .PDF files for all labels and graphics present on the Digital Twin.

Step 4: Product reception

  1. To create your Digital Twin, we need either the physical product (recommended) or reference photos from all angles.

Option A: Physical product (recommended)

The shipping address is displayed at this stage.

Once the creation is complete, you have two options to recover your physical items:

  • pick them up at our office (by appointment)

  • or request a Chronopost return slip via chat or email to your account manager or support@omi.so.

⚠️ If your order was completed more than two months ago, your items have been removed from our stock.

Option B: Photos

  • Add the item dimensions.

  • Upload 6 photos from different angles.

2. Click on "Next" at the bottom right of your screen


Step 5: Additional information

Tell us how to create your Digital Twin.

  1. Select product status:

    1. Closed: If it has a cap, do you want it on the product?

    2. Open: If it's foldable, do you want it folded or unfolded?

    3. Other: If you require a specific model, please add a comment in the box below.

2. Add details about your product to help us focus on certain parts:

  • Particular elements: gold-plated elements, extra thickness, etc.

  • Position of certain elements (handles on a bag, direction of the cap, degree of inclination of a screen)

3. Import reference photos or product data sheets:

  • It will enable us to identify it when it arrives

  • It will enable us to determine the exact color you require.

Accepted file formats: .pdf, .ai, .jpeg, .svg, .png, .webp, .jpeg, .ttf, .otf, .zip, .tiff, .psd, .stp, .obj

4. Click on "Add product to basket" at the bottom right of your screen

Step 6: Validate your basket

Once all your Digital Twins are added, validate your basket to start the modeling process:

  1. Tick the box in front of "I accept the terms and conditions".

  2. Click on Continue at the bottom right of your screen

💡In the 'People to notify' field, select the members who will receive order tracking emails.

Once all the elements have been validated by our teams, the modeling
times take around 2 weeks.
