This article explains how Omi counts products under your license.

The principle is simple: every request that requires work from our 3D artists counts as 1 product in your license.

"Master" vs. "Variant" Models

When you order multiple products, some items may be similar, so it’s important to distinguish the Master from its Variants.

  • Master = A product

  • Variant = the same product with a different label or color

Example:

To optimize production, the Master is always modeled first and submitted for your approval. Once approved, it serves as the base for creating its Variants more quickly.

How are they counted?

Even if the shape is identical, a new label or color still counts as a new product. The rule is:

  • 1 Master = 1 product

  • Each Variant = 1 product

Example: If your order includes 1 Master and 3 Variants, a total of 4 products will be counted under your license.

The different product states (Open / Closed / Other)

Likewise, each state of your product (closed, open) or any other related request is treated as a separate product and counts as 1 product in your license. The only difference is the number of 3D models you receive.

Request

Count as

What you receive in your account

Closed State

1 product

One 3D model

Open State

1 product

Two 3D models (container + lid)

Other (e.g., Packaging)

1 product

One 3D model

The Open state is unique: it provides two distinct models, giving you maximum flexibility for your creations.

Example:

Each red box in this example represents a request for a specific state and is counted as 1 product in the license. The request for the Open state is the only one that generates two 3D models.

Once a product has been modeled and validated, you have unlimited use of it across the Omi platform, for all your creations !
