Summary

When you order a 3D model from Omi, you’ll need to provide the graphic files used on your product so we can accurately recreate it. This includes:

  • Front and back labels

  • Any visual elements (silkscreen, embossing, inlays, hot stamping, etc.)

These files, often called artworks or graphic assets, are key to producing a realistic 3D model.

Example: For a bottle, we need the front label file and the cap artwork file.

Which file formats should be used?

Make sure your files are high quality to allow proper vectorization and obtain a qualitative render on your 3D model!

Accepted formats:

  • .AI: .AI files are native Adobe Illustrator files.

  • .PDF vectorized: This file must have been exported using vectorization software.

  • .EPS or .SVG are also suitable

Regardless of the format, two steps are required:

  • Convert fonts to outlines (vectorize)

  • Embed (incorporate) all graphic elements (images, logos, etc.)

How to export your files in 2 minutes

Step 1 - Open your file in Adobe Illustrator (a free version is available at this link)

Step 2 - Convert all text and fonts to outlines:

  • Go to: Select > Object > All Text Objects

  • Then: Type > Create Outlines

✅ Your text is now vectorized.

Step 3 – Embed the graphic elements (illustrations, images, logos, etc.) in your file:

  • In Adobe Illustrator, open the menu Window > Links

  • A panel will open, showing a list of all imported visual elements in your document

  • In this list, select the files you want to embed, click on ☰ at the top right of the panel, then choose Embed Image(s)

Step 4 - Save your file

Your file is now ready! You can upload it when placing your 3D modeling order on Omi.
