The Look At setting keeps the camera automatically oriented toward a specific point in your scene, whether it’s an object, a surface, or any other visible element.

How to use the "Look At" setting

When you’re in the Omi Studio:

  • Go to the Cameras section at the top left of the Studio.

  • Select the camera you want to use. (Need help? Check out our camera guide.)

  • In the right-hand panel, open the Advanced tab in the camera settings.

  • Click the Look At button.

  • Select the element or point in your scene that the camera should follow.

Once Look At is enabled, the camera stays locked on the selected target.

Orientation and position controls are disabled, but you can still adjust the zoom, tilt, and focus.

Using "Look At" with animated cameras 🎥

The Look At setting works with all animated camera presets.

Animated cameras are available through the Video Option, accessible only to clients who have subscribed to this feature. If you are interested in this option, feel free to contact your account manager or reach out to support via chat or email at support@omi.so.

When you apply a camera movement, enabling Look At keeps the camera focused on the chosen target throughout the entire animation.

The path of the camera stays the same, but its orientation adjusts automatically to follow the selected object.
