The approval process in Omi is based on a clear separation of roles:
The Content Creator generates the renders.
The Content Manager approves or rejects them.
This structure helps track the status of each render, manage multiple versions, and centralize feedback at every step. It simplifies collaboration while ensuring only approved renders are used.
One user can hold both roles if needed. More information on user roles and permissions
The different render states
Each render can go through the following states depending on its progress:
📝 Draft | Default state right after a render is created. |
🕙 In review | The Content Creator has submitted the render for validation. It’s awaiting review by the Content Manager. |
❌ Rejected | The render has been rejected. A new version can be submitted. |
✅ Approved | The render has been validated. It can no longer be modified. |
For Content Creators
How to Submit a render for review
Go to the
Renderssection and click on the render you want to submit.Click
Ask for review.
The render status will change to In Review.
How to Submit a New Version
If a render has been rejected, you can create a new version:
Select the rejected render.
Click
Create a new version.Generate a new render from the scene.
The render will be updated with the new version and return to the In review state.
For Content Managers
In the Renders page, you can filter by status: Draft, Approved, Rejected, or In review.
How to Approve a Render
Select the render.
Click
Review.Click
Submit Reviewand approve the render.
The render will change to the Approved state and can no longer be revised.
How to Reject a Render and Give Feedback
Select the render.
Click
Review.Click on the areas you want to comment on, a comment bubble will appear.
Leave your feedback to guide the Content Creator.

Submit Reviewand reject the render.
The Content Creator will then be able to submit a new version from the same render.

You can navigate between different versions of a render by clicking the “Version” button at the top of the window, next to the render’s name.
