This article explains how Omi counts Digital Twins under your license.
The principle is simple: every request that requires work from our 3D artists counts as 1 Digital Twin (SKU) in your license.
"Master" vs. "Variant" Models
When you order multiple Digital Twins, some items may be similar, so it’s important to distinguish the Master from its Variants.
Master = A Digital Twin
Variant = the same Digital Twin with a different label or color
Example:
To optimize production, the Master is always modeled first and submitted for your approval. Once approved, it serves as the base for creating its Variants more quickly.
How are they counted?
Even if the shape is identical, a new label or color still counts as a new Digital Twin. The rule is:
1 Master = 1 Digital Twin (SKU)
Each Variant = 1 Digital Twin (SKU)
Example: If your order includes 1 Master and 3 Variants, a total of 4 Digital Twins (SKUs) will be counted under your license.
The different Digital Twins states (Open / Closed / Other)
Likewise, each state of your Digital Twin (closed, open) or any other related request is treated as a separate Digital Twin and counts as 1 Digital Twin (SKU) in your license. The only difference is the number of 3D models you receive.

The Open state is unique: it provides two distinct models, giving you maximum flexibility for your creations.
Example 1:
Each red box in this example represents a request for a specific state and is counted as 1 Digital Twin (SKU) in the license. The request for the Open state is the only one that generates two 3D models.
Example 2 (Gift Sets / Packs):
The Pack counts as 1 distinct Digital Twin (SKU). This count is fixed, regardless of whether the items inside already exist individually.
Total = 1 SKU
Case A: Individual Digital Twins
If you wish to be able to manipulate each Digital Twin separately, each one will count as a distinct Digital Twin (SKU).
Total: 1 Pack + 4 Digital Twins = 5 SKUs
Case B: Grouped Digital Twins
Conversely, if you want all Digital Twins to be linked as a single inseparable block (one single 3D entity), this group counts as only 1 additional Digital Twin (SKU).
Total: 1 Pack + 1 Group of Digital Twins = 2 SKUs
Once a Digital Twin has been modeled and validated, you have unlimited use of it across the Omi platform, for all your creations !
