Summary

This is our new studio, where you can make anything you want, and more.

  • On the left: access drop-down menus to add objects, lights and cameras.

  • On the right: adjust settings to customize products, lighting, cameras and backgrounds.

We've also added a working camera to facilitate your adjustments and give you greater precision in your creations.

Control your product

Add your product

To add a product to your scene, click on "Objects" in the top left-hand corner. A drop-down menu will open with a list of your products. Simply select the one you wish to add and it will appear in your scene.

Omi Tips : Drag and drop the product to position it precisely in the scene.

Bring up the tools on your product

Click on the product or scene element to be modified to bring up the various tools:

The tool in the middle: Move your product

The first tool allows you to move the object in space using the mouse. When you click on the product, two small crossed arrows appear on your product, to move it :

  • Click on these arrows then drag the mouse to the right to move it to the right

  • Click on these arrows then drag left to move left

  • Click on these arrows then drag the mouse down to move it closer to the front of the stage

  • Click on these arrows and drag the mouse upwards to move it away from the back of the stage.

Omi Tips 1: The product is positioned where the mouse stops in the scene.

Omi Tips 2: You can move the object using the arrow keys on the keyboard. Arrows alone allow slow movement, while Shift + arrow allows fast movement.

Left-hand icon: Duplicate your product

This tool duplicates an object with exactly the same parameters as the product already in the scene. It will be replicated identically in terms of inclination, pivot (on itself, on the earth's axis, etc.) or levitation.

Omi Tips 1: Modify all the parameters applied to the product before duplicating it, so you don't have to do the work twice.

Omi Tips 2 : You can hold down the button and move it to duplicate the object and position its copy at the same time.

The right-hand icon: Delete your product

The last tool allows you to delete your product or an element from the scene. Simply select the item you wish to delete and click on the trash emoji on the right:

Omi Tips: To delete a product, you can also use the Backspace (←) or Delete (Del) keys.

Discover other features for controlling your product

To bring up the tools, simply click on the product and a window will appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

Here is the menu of tools that will allow you to control your product:

Turn your product on itself

This tool lets you rotate your object on its own axis. Click and drag the double arrows next to the "Turn" option to rotate your product from left to right. You can also enter a numerical value in the field to the right of the double arrows for precise adjustment.

Omi Tips: You can click on + or -45 degrees to rotate the product by a quarter turn.

Tilt your product

Tilt and/or layer an object in the scene with the Tilt tool. Using the dotted line that appears below “Tilt”, tilt or layer your product. You can also perform the same action by entering a number in the middle of the dotted line.

Omi Tips: Double-click + or -45 degrees to quickly and completely lay down the product

Pivot your product

The "Pivot" tool can also be used to rotate an object. It does not allow the same rotation as the Turn tool. Use it to rotate your product on the earth's axis.

Using the dotted line below Pivot, rotate your product from left to right. You can also perform the same action by entering a number in the middle of the dotted line.

Omi Tips: You can click on + or -45 degrees to rotate the product by a quarter turn.

Levitate your product

Levitate your product with this tool. Using the dotted line that appears below “Levitate”, move the object up and down. You can also perform the same action by entering a number in the middle of the dotted line.

Omi Tips: To avoid shade under the product, raise it slightly off the ground.

Align your products

Sub-tool number 1- Center your product:

Center the product perfectly in the middle of the stage.

This button :

Sub-tool number 2- Align horizontally

Allows you to align multiple products on a single horizontal line.

Here's how to do it:

Move and modify several products simultaneously

You can move several products simultaneously by selecting them together, which is useful for applying identical parameters to them.

Hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard, select the desired products, then apply the parameters of your choice.

Omi Tips: This is very useful when you want to make group renderings of your different ranges.

Advanced: Focus

As in photography, this option adjusts the depth of field to create a blurred effect. You can highlight a product in the foreground or, on the contrary, focus on an object in the background, blurring the foreground.

Exchange your model with another model or an object from the library:

On Omi, you can exchange your product in the scene with another model or object from the library.

This feature allows you to keep the same dimensions of the product and your scene (lights, reflections, added elements, etc.) in just a few clicks, without having to completely rework the scene.

  1. Click on the product you wish to exchange

  2. Click on the exchange button

3. Click on the product you wish to display

4. Click on the library section if you wish to exchange an item from the library.

Omi Tips: You can also use the search bar to more easily find the new product to insert into the scene.

Resize your scene

Resizing means choosing the right ratio for the target medium (eCommerce site, Social Networks, print...), and in particular portrait versus landscape orientation.

It's advisable to size your scene as soon as you create it.

Omi Tips: Enter your own key figures and they will be automatically saved. You can, of course, rename and delete them.
